If the only way to start your day is with a coffee, then International Coffee Day is the day for you. Use this day to have fun with your followers, by asking them to post a picture of their morning cuppa or share a humorous coffee quote on your page with #CoffeeDay.

October 1st is the annual kick-off of Vegetarian Awareness Month. If you are in the health and wellness industry, today is a great day to share the benefits of being vegetarian. A simple recipe could also inspire others just to try it out for a day! 

  1. 2nd October - International Day of Non-Violence

International Day of Non-Violence is observed on 2nd October in honour of the birth of Mahatma Ghandi. Honour the bravery and goodness of people that have made an impact on reducing violence by sharing inspiring quotes or stories of their achievements.

  1. 4th October - World Animal Day

World Animal Day aims to recognize worldwide animal rights as well as their welfare. It's a great day for an inspirational quote or to share an animal cause that is close to your heart.

Sometimes all it takes to make the day better for someone is a simple smile. On World Smile Day encourage your followers to engage in acts of kindness or just sharing a simple smile. There are plenty of great emojis that can help convey this message too! One post that always goes well is.....'Using just emojis show us ......what your business does/who your family consists of/what you did on the weekend etc, Just make it relevant to your avatar and your business offering!

  1. 5th October - World Teachers Day

Teachers play such an important role in the lives of young people. I bet if you reflect back on your teachers there will be one or two that stand out as helping to shape who you are today.Let's thank our teachers today - whether from the past or those that teach us today!

  1. 10th October - World Mental Health Day

Mental health affects everyone, every day. For some they invest in positive mental health and for others it can be more of a challenge. World Mental Health Day is a great day to educate people on strategies and techniques for positive mental health. You could also share messages that encourage people to check in on those in their life and be aware that mental health doesn't always show on the surface. 

  1. 16th October - World Food Day

World Food Day is commemorated annually around the world on 16th October. Whilst this day is focussed on the production, preservation and distribution of food to ensure food security, you can be a little creative in your messaging. You could create a user generated content post asking people to share a photo of a meal today. Or you could share a quote or fact about world food issues and use it to get people to think about how to reduce waste and make more conscious choices about food.

  1. 31st October - Halloween

Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated each year on 31st October. It originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.
